“Frit is a glassy material usually composed of aluminum silicates modified with alkali, alkaline earth , acidic oxides and another in organic oxides with different percentage according to the desired specifications”.
        All the ingredients are mixed , fused and quenched in water to be in granules.
        The purpose of this pre-fusion is to render any soluble and/or toxic components insoluble by causing them to combine with silica and other added oxides.
